1. Click on the link in the Mac Downloader link:

2. This will then pop up at the bottom of your screen:


3. The download will then look like this, then double click on it:

4. This will come up on your screen, click on the package icon labeled antivirus_for_mac.pkg:

5 This will then come up on your screen, click Continue:

6. This will then come up on your screen, click Install. You may be asked to enter your password based on if your Mac is password protected:

7. This will then come up on your screen and then the installation will be complete within 1-2 minutes, click Close:

8. This will then come up on your screen, click Move to Trash:

9. There will then be a Bitdefender logo on the top of your screen:

10. You can click on the logo and see the different options:


If you click preferences you can see the threats that have been quarantined, your threat history and Scanner.


If you click Open Main Window you can do a Quick Scan, Full Scan or a Custom Scan.


The following is optional but is recommended for a more robust protection.


Web Protection Setup:

While in the Endpoint Security for Mac portal, go down to the Web Protection area and select Chrome or Safari based on which browser you use the most:


Chrome Setup:

Select the Get Extension under Chrome, this page will then open up in a Chrome browser:

Click on Free Download and then you will be brought to this page, click on ADD TO CHROME:

This will come up, click Add extension:

This will then come up on your screen:

You will now see the green check icon in the top right of your Chrome window:

Now every time you search through Chrome it will tell you if the page is safe by giving it a green check:

You will see this on your Dashboard after the extension has been installed:



Safari:

Click on Get Extension under Safari:

Click on Get Extension under Safari and this will come up in the Safari Browser:

Click on Free Download and the download will go in the download button found on the top right of the Safari Browser:


Click on it and you will see the download:

Double click on the download and this screen will pop up:

Click Trust

This will then show:

Just close the window by clicking on the red x you will now see that you get green check marks next to websites that are safe for you to visit:

You can check that the extension was installed by clicking on the Web Protection of the Bitdefender Portal on your device:
